Brief: Pay homage to the ecaillers, or oyster-openers, at the big brasseries of Paris.
Highlights: Working from old photos of Parisian brasseries, sourced a premium array of ornate brass lamps, booths, tile and leather banquettes to achieve the City of Light vibe. Optimized the large space with a glamorous, crescent-shaped, ice-packed shellfish bar. Designed open bread stations and placed stacks of French cooking books and relevant literature around the bars. Curated a library and small lounge setting in an unattractive corner near the bathroom, now the best seat in the house. My work is done. Next.
