Project: Peachy’s
Client: 8 Tuxedos Inc.
Location: New York City
Opened: 2018
Brief: A sky of cherry blossoms with a dash of Blade Runner.
Highlights: Peachy’s allowed me to lean into an aesthetic that was feminine and eclectic, with elements of neon moodiness to give it balance — a space flush with glowing signage, peach blossoms, lanterns, Gucci wallpaper, and deep red banquettes. All design elements were selected and executed by yours truly, including the quickly-becoming-iconic “no photos, no fighting” neon sign greeting guests as they descend the staircase into the subterranean venue. While I designed this sign to be tongue in cheek, it was my humble bid to get guests to enjoy the moment. If you ever need giant neon made on the cheap, I know a guy.
